MCF on Campus

MCF has launched a new project in 2009: MCF on Campus, which offers college students in the United States a chance to improve a Liberian child’s education and life. University groups, such as sororities and fraternities, dorm floors, athletic teams, and other on-campus organizations, can participate in the Sponsor a Child program. By donating $200, the group funds a child’s education and lunches for a year. The members also receive the grades and pictures of their sponsored child in Liberia and can correspond as pen pals throughout the year. The opportunity to correspond with young, successful students in the U.S. is life-changing for these impoverished children in Liberia.

College students can also support MCF by volunteering at events in New York City throughout the year, such as the Sharing the Light Gala, the holiday Gift Drive, and the Fashion Week After Party.
